The flash player archive does contain the .msi files.
Adobe/macromedia should consider archiving the shockwave files as well. Companies like mine, go through a process of testing each .exe and by the time the testing is complete, the shockwave file is removed from Adobe download and replaced with a more current version.
Of course there are other sites that have copies but for security reasons, it's unexceptable to download from such sites.
MSI files are needed because we deploy software using AD and .exe files cannot be deployed with AD
