I have a text in In Design and I would like to eliminate the rivers.

 

Is there a way I can delete the rivers?

    Enable hyphenation.

    That's up to the designer, but the narrower the column in relation to the size of the type (i.e. the fewer characters can fit on a line), the more likely you are to get uneven spacing between lines, rivers and very wide spaces in justified text because there are only so many places that the lines can break without hyphenation.
