help with pasted selection in Photoshop CS6 using marquee selection

When I pasted a selection made with the Marquee tool there is a transform grid around the pasted selection.  I use a MAC and Photoshop CS6 and would like to deactive a feature for this automatic grid, if there is one.  Thank you.

    With Move Tool active, disable Show Transform Controls at left of options bar.

    Thanks so much.  I wish these details were included in the relevant section of the user guide, not to mention in endless tutorials at lynda.com

    If a tutorial took all the time necessary to describe every single setting that's modal (i.e., that affects Photoshop operation or what you see) the main message of the tutorial would be lost.

     

    We all discovered many of these things like you did, and now you can pay it forward by helping others when they ask how to get rid of the transform border.
