Hi, I am working on a site and have been for a couple of months. This page has been working until recently. The bottom of the page (where the photos are and the names), is a 'tooltip' area and when I click on the names, i just want the 'post-it' note to popup on the right. Now, it's coming up, but also a drop shadow behind it is coming up. I have checked every element in the width and there is no drop shadow applied to anything. (Yes, I checked every state of each of the elements--both trigger and target). Here is the page: http://www.irmographics.com/adstreet/about-us.html
Any help would be appreciated. I am almost done with this site and it's frustrating that what was working up to now is all of a sudden not working. Thanks for the help in advance.
Hello irmographic,
I've dragged you yellow postit note onto my decktop and yes it's a PNG with some sort of shadow effect. All that I can think of is, Maybe it's a "glow" or "bevel" effect that got turned on by mistake??? So I would check this out.
Lastly, I noticed that there is a little "grey shadow spot" to the right of the brown tape. Is this PNG image something you created in Photoshop. Maybe you put a drop-shadow on the image THERE! You then used/imported this image within the tool tip box. This is why you can't get rid of the shadow. You would have to do back to the original Photoshop image and remove the shadow effect.
Here are my tool tips. Hover over covers.

Actually, I'm not talking about that shadow around the post-it notes themselves, but it's a larger area that has the drop shadow. On one of them, Ginny's, you see that the transparent drop shadow goes around everything—the postit and the people! The problem is this isn't one that appeared a week ago. I have no prpblem with the tiny little drop shadow that is on the postit note itself. Look at this and see the large drop shadow around the entire composition. That is not supposed to be there. (see it, starts on the left, above Jimmy the left of the word Agency, and then runs downward and then across the bottom of the people and underneath the post it note and then up on the right side?) I can't get rid of it. And there is no drop shadow on any of the elements there. It shows like this in Safari and Firefox. Don't know about IE.
Hello irmographic,
I played around with a clean page on one of my sites. So all that I can think of is, could you check this out.
When you click on the larger Tool Tip widget box on the page, in the upper left hand corner of Muse it should say "Composition". Click again inside that and it should now say "Target" (we'll come back to this), now click again over the post-it note and it should say "Text Frame".
I believe your issue is the "target frame". Somehow you have made this rectangle - Fill > transparent, it is nomally white. Then you added an "Effect" > drop shadow, to this rectangle. I've have made a couple of screen shots (below)
If all else fails I would duplicate the page. Give this other page a temorary name I.e. partner-bu. Now delete the full tooltip box from the original page. Save.
Upload this version of the site to your server. I will then wipe/over write this page. Disconnect, Save.
Now re open your Muse site. Open this page, pull a fresh "tool-tip" widget onto the page. Add the Post-it image, and now from the "back-up" page you can quickly copy & paste the text back over to this page. Save.
Once you have all the text back over, you can then delete this - [partner-bu] page from your site.
Save, upload site to server. Hopefully all will be fine now.
