Where are you downloading Photoshop Elements from? Or are you trying to install the software from a CD? If so have you tried copying the install files to your desktop to see if there is a disc error?
The files copy from the CD to the desktop fine. Then I run the installer from my desktop and several files uncompress,but then I get the message that some installation files are corrupt and to download a fresh copy and retry.
Did you migrate or transfer your files and applications to this new computer? If so then you did discover that Photoshop Elements 8 was not working properly which is what prompted you to try the reinstall process?
