My hard drive was getting a bit bulky. I deactivated and uninstalled both CS4 and CS5 today. I uninstalled lightroom 2.6 also. All was successful. Then I went to open a photo from lightroom 4.1 to edit it and it doesn't recognize CS6 anymore. It wants to edit in the non existant CS4 now. I've never had a problem like this before. I checked my default programs in Windows and Tiff, jpegs, and psd are all set to CS6. I don't know, it's very frustrating. At least bridge works so not all is lost. I'm on a PC I-7 machine with windows 7 64bit pro. Everything else seems to be working fine and I've scanned the drives for bugs again. Anyone had this problem or know how to tell lightroom to open the image in CS6 rather than a non existant program? Thanks
Jim
Update. I forgot to mention that I did download 4.1 again and reinstalled. That did nothing. I did add CS6 to the choices of programs to edit in so that I can now open in CS6. Unfortunately the open as smart object, as layers, in photomerge, in HDR are still all grayed out. I want to know how to replace the default opener. I may end up having to reinstall CS6 and giving that a try. Any takers?
