Alright, I have a Mac OSX 10.5.8, and I just installed Photoshop Elements 10 this afternoon after my boyfriend had gotten it for me as an early Christmas present.
I plugged in my tablet (A VisTablet PenPad) and when I tried to draw a line, it would only draw the beginning dot. The mouse draws lines fine.
I changed the battery, nib, everything I could think of doing with the tablet that could have gone wrong.
It would really mean a lot if someone could help me with this, it's very frustrating!
Well, I'm not at all sure how well the penpad works in 10.5, but I would start by checking system preferences for your settings and making sure you have the correct driver. Not all pen tablets work well as graphics tablets--does it work in other programs, (Not Ink)?
In the brush tablet options (the triangle in the options bar to the right of the airbrush, what settings do you have turned on? Can you post a screenshot of that and of the additional brush options (the brush to the right of the triangle)?
It sounds like PSE is interpreting the first touch of your pen onto the PenPad's surface as a "click". I'd experiment with the settings for your PenPad, perhaps lowering its sensitivity.
