I am having exactly the same problem. I have now spent at least eight hours downloading TWICE, restarting the download assistant, restarting my entire system, etc, and nothing is working. I'm seriously annoyed - I live in a country where I pay for bandwidth. Can I not just download the trial version without using the Download Assistant? I never have these problems with other downloads, so I can only conclude the problem is with the Download Assistant itself. I have tried opening the dmg directly from the downloads folder and that doesn't work either.
If you are continuing to experience difficulties with the Adobe Download Assistant then I would recommend initiating a direct download by following the directions listed in http://forums.adobe.com/thread/981369.
I solved my problem with GIMP (http://www.gimp.org/macintosh/), which downloaded and installed with no problems at all in about 15 minutes. So far it does everything I need of it. If and when that changes I may consider Photoshop again.
Hi.
Thanks, I did this. Now when I try to open anything I get this message:
CS6 Design and Web Premium
Adobe Application Manager, required to verify your license, is missing or damaaged.
Please download a new copy of Adobe Application Manager from
http://www.adobe.com/go//applicationmanager
I'll try, but am wondering whether this process will ever end.
Everazephyr I would recommend contacting our support team and working with them directly. For the best assistance, I recommend our chat support at http://adobe.ly/yxj0t6. Our chat representatives can provide a personalized experience to resolve the issue you have described.
