undo changes

Help!!!

 

  How can I undo the  to  my recent edited  saved photos ,by photoshop, I have open the photo and I am not able to do anything ,  also, the previous work I have done on a antique  restored photo how do make it look like a photo, the paintings over I made it shows, the strokes ,it looks more like a painting over on paper than a photo. thanks

    If you didn't make a copy before you started work and you changed your photo and saved the changes and closed the photo, you saved the changes and that's it. Never, never work on your original, always use a copy if you don't use a program like the Elements Organizer, lightroom, iphoto, aperture that creates version sets for you.

    Can you post a copy of the image before you painted on it?

    You might try applying a Gaussian Blur to the background. This will obscure the paintstrokes and put emphasis on the subject.

    You have to use a very subtle touch -- lower the "Opacity" or "Strength" settings in the Options Bar for the tool to a very low value.

    No sample -- using a lower Opacity for your tool is just something that you'll have to experiment with.

    Those settings are in the Options Bar when you have your drawing tool chosen.  Sometimes it's labelled as "Opacity", sometimes it's labelled as "Strength".
