I have been working on an interactive for a museum. I am Playing an MP4 as a sleep mode. It should repeat until someone comes up to the touchscreen and starts the interactive. The problem is the MP4 crashes after about 4 - 6 hrs. Is the Flash Player designed to run continuously for 10 - 12 hrs? Would you recommend using a differant file format, FLV fV4?
It definitely shouldn't be crashing. Does this also occur with the latest AIR 3.4 which was released today? How does the memory situation look like when the crash occurs? Finally, do you mind opening a new bug on this at bugbase.adobe.com. Please include a sample application and media file, along with your system configuration so we can try and reproduce the problem. If you can generate a crash dump file, that would be very helpful too.
