reinstalling adobe air

Aug 16, 2012 11:49 AM

End result of system maintenance: adobe air is damaged...try resintalling or contacting publisher for assistance.  First, uninstalled AA, but on the adobe site, after "downloading AA" got final message that it is already installed on my computer (Dell, Windows7, purchased March of this year). It is no longer listed in my Program files...am at a total loss as to what to do since I can't find a real person to put me on the right track.  Also, after uninstalling AA, continually get a "script error" message flasing on my screen.  HELP!!!!!

What type of system maintenance were you performing?  Is there anyway to revert from the changes which were made?

Marged41 I only have the information you have provided in this message thread.  Please try the solutions listed in Troubleshoot AIR installation | Windows - http://helpx.adobe.com/air/kb/troubleshoot-air-installation-windows.ht ml.

Where you able to determine the version of Adobe AIR which you are using?

You can discover the version of Adobe AIR by completing the following steps:

    1. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe AIR\Versions\1.0
    2. Please select the Adobe AIR.dll and select properties
    3. In the properties window select the Details tab to discover the version.

It should also be noted that if you are using a 32-bit version of Windows the location will be the Program Files instead of the Program File (x86).

I continue to get the message that the file is corrupted.

Do you have any more information, e.g. what file is corrupted?

If you suspect that you have a problem with your disk drive, try running a CHKDSK; see http://windows.microsoft.com/vi-VN/windows-vista/Check-your-hard-disk- for-errors
