Hi,
I am beating my head on a wall trying to export GPS coordinates. Here's the situation:
Lightroom 4.1
Camera (Canon) RAW imported from camera directly to DNG (no location info present)
Location added via Map module, and additional metadata (Title, Caption, Keywords, Copyright, etc...) added
Save Location not set to Private
Export Metadata settings "Remove location info" is NOT checked (i.e., do not remove it)
I export to JPG and the location is not present. Flickr cannot see it, and I load it into Photoshop and examine the metadata and location is not there. I have also used some other online tools to verify it is missing, as well as Geosetter. If I set it in Geosetter, the data is then there. However, Lightroom 4.1 is just not saving it, and I have scoured all the settings looking for any other options.
Help? This is crucial to my workflow and I'd prefer to do as much as possible inside LR and not have to use external tools.
Thanks,
Jeff
Here's the Export settings.
I didn't see a way to simply attach a file, so here's a link to it: http://www.stock3dphotos.com/images/IMG_8512.jpg

They keep changing the names!
It's now a Metadata section, sorry. But you have it set to All so that's not it anyway.
My next port of call would be to try trashing prefs, perhaps even try a clean user account if you want to rule out loads of things in one fell swoop.
Info here on preferences: http://members.lightroomqueen.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/Vie w/1148/198/how-do-i-delete-the-lightroom-preferences-file
It would also be worth double checking that the map location shows up correctly in the Metadata panel.
Bingo! I renamed the Preference file (and also the LR3 older file, because it tried to re-import that as well). Once I did, the location stored. I presume this is, technically, a bug in LR. Hopefully the Adobe minders wander through and catch this... it's frustrating, but at least I caugt it early in the cycle of processing my pictures. This was the first vacation since I started using LR4/4.1.
Thanks!
Jeff
PS- the location was correct in the Metadata- I had checked that prior to see that it was all there.
