Download / Installation - Want to download and install on different drives. How?

Hi,

About to install the CS6 Production Premium trial via download assistant before making a purchase and I would like to know if it is possible to download and install to one drive and then move installation to a completely seperate drive without messing it all up?

The main reason for this is that I do not download straight to SSD unless it is just some quick updates etc and instead have other drives that get write hammered and looking at the installation process I dont see a way to download to a diff drive other than the one you want the program on as an end result?

Thanks.

You cannot move an install and that is that. However, you can choose a different location during the install itself by making it a custom install. That still means that some shared files will be installed on your C: drive, thopugh.

Does the same answer apply to installation of the Master Collection? I originally installed on SSD but it is almost over capacity. I tried to install on the traditional drive that has more space but the program would not install. I don't recall a custom installation option,

Assuming that you are on Windows...

I installed the CS6 Master Collection yesterday, and the initial installer panel gave me an option to specify the install location.  See the image in this post forums.adobe.com/message/4631926#4631926
