Form and large gaps

I'm new to Dreamweaver. I've been to Dreamweaver class recently and the form i did was perfectly fine but when i tried it at home, my form looks weird. I've created a form and it looks alright to me in the Design view, however when i switched to preview mode, there were large gaps in between every row. I did not use CSS, it is just the form and the table. I'm not sure if it is just me or there is sth wrong with my Dreamweaver. I've tried searching for solution in the internet but to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advanced!
