Distorted/blurred problem

Aug 19, 2012 11:21 AM

I am still working on my project mentioned a few questions down but now have a new problem.

The gap was closed and the music tracks (soundtrack) put back in place. The project was "rendered" and set to "Share" as "Mobile Phones and Players". I then used the "Presets" as "AppleiPhone, Apple iPod Widescreen High Quality".

The first half of the project is great and the second half distorted/blurred. The source of the video all came from one place and was "captured" at the same time using a HDV camcorder (Sony HDR-HC3e).

The original clips on the "Sceneline" are good.

Is there a reason why this would happen and is there any way to correct it.

Many thanks in advance.

Mark

Have you tried it a second time?

I can think of no reason this would happen, Mark -- short of some weird glitch (which is why I suggested you try it a second time). But if your movie is going buggy at the exact same point as the first time you created this output, then something much deeper is at work.

Try one more thing: Go to Share/Computer/MOV and output it as a Quicktime movie. Check to see if you get the same results.

If not, then something is just buggy about that output preset and we can work around it.

If so, then something is corrupted in your project, and you may not to try making a new project.

I'm still not sure what's going on, but here's a simple solution in this particular case.

Use Share/Computer/AVI to output a DV-AVI of your movie.

Open a new project set up for DV video. Import the AVI you output into it. Then output your portable device video. It should be perfect.
