When I import a Premier timeline created in CS5 to Encore CS6 the chapter markers don't import. Yes, they are proper Encore markers which were previously imported ok in Encore CS5. I find that if I go into Premiere (CS6) and 'Edit Marker' then click Ok (even without changing anything), that marker will then import when markers are reloaded in Encore.

I'm thinking you can do this in CS5 to CS6, whereas you couldn't in CS4 to CS5. But I would test that by opening the CS5 in CS6 and save as CS6. Any difference? (I assume not.)

Is there a chapter name in the marker?
Are you exporting to H.264 or using dynamic link?
I'm sorry, I thought it would be clear this was dynamic link when I said I imported a Premier timeline. Also, to make a finer point, this happens both importing a CS5-created timeline and importing a CS5-created-and-translated-and-saved-as-CS6 timeline. Also, If I go to the latter timeline in PCS6 and add a new marker, then update markers in ECS6, it's the only one that comes in. All the other markers must be edited and 'Ok'd individually to be imported. All the aforementioned markers are named and selected as Encore markers and were previously imported using CS5 versions of both P and E. To avoid another go-round, yes I saved my Premiere session after making the aforementioned changes. Oop...sorry, that sounded a little snippy.
The entire marker system in Pr was overhauled for CS6, so while it's unfortunate, the issue you are having is probably expected. Markers from projects created in earlier versions of Pr will at some point have to be translated into CS6 markers, and that will have to be done from inside of Pr itself.
If you want to avoid the Edit/OK dance in CS6, I would recommend finishing your project in CS5. I wish I had a better or easier answer for you.
