Upgrading CS5 to CS6

Aug 20, 2012 11:53 AM

This morning I downloade an upgrade from CS5 to CS6 and it perfomed the downloaded.  But then it showed up on my desktop as only a file  and didn't have the PS blue logo.  I have tried to open it but it won't open and it says that my CS5 serial number is inactive.  The person who downloaded it for me, said that he saw my serial number and he continued to activate it.

What do I do?

And this has absolutely nothing to do with Adobe Reader. It appears you are trying to upgrade from Photoshop CS 5 to Photoshop CS 6. I will move your post to the currect forum.

Moved to Downloading, Installing, Setting Up.

Please let us know if you owned only the Photoshop application or if it was part of a suite? If so which suite the applicaion you originally purchased was. Applications purchased as part of a suite, may not be individually upgraded. Suites can only be upgraded to a new version of a suite.

If you are having serial number issues you may need to contact technical support or customer support as they are the only people capable of verifying your serial number and helping you make sure you purchased the correct products.
