How do I install?

I have downloaded reader 10.1.3 for windows vista. I cannot install it (error 1406). I have uninstalled any prior readers but still am unable to download even with security system turned off. What now?

I would try running the Acrobat and Reader Cleanup Tool

http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html

then download Reader's offline installer from

http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

restarting my computer and running the installer before doing anything else.
