CMS and Dynamically-Related Files via shared hosting

Hello All,

I'm having a problem using dreamweaver for CMS management... Is there any good documents or tech notes that detail how to correctly setup DreamWeaver for shared/remote hosting platforms...


I have a locally setup a two CMS test platforms (joomla and magento) running from my host computer via a virtual machine (fedora 17)... i have access to this machine via ftp and local/network...

 

From the 'site setup' within dreamweaver I’ve setup a 'remote' connection through an 'ftp' connection. The only attribute that seems ambiguous to me is the 'web url'??? i have also selected 'PHP MySQL' from advanced menu.

 

...dont understand how its necessary, however i created a second connection that has 'testing' selected and 'remote' NOT selected. My 'testing' config is set to use 'local/network' as connection type, and my server folder is local directory where i backup/mirror'd the live/remote site.

 

...every time i run the 'dynamic link discovery' i get various errors...

 

any suggestions???
