Clips don't gray out when going into a different symbol

It used to be that if I double clicked on a symbol on the stage I would go into the symbol and everything else would gray out and be unselectable. Right now I can still go into the symbol and work normally exept for the fact that everything still looks at full saturation.

 

Is there perhaps a key or an option I pushed accidentally? or is this a bug?

 

By the way, I'm using CS6, restarting Flash doesn't change it and neither does removing all of my extensions.

    Since you are the only one I have seen mention this, it is probably not a bug overall, but it could be a bug in your iinstallation.  You could try to contact techincal support and see if they can help (it can be a frustrating endeavor though).  You could also try sending a PM to any Adobe employee you can identify in this forum that appears to deal with technical issues... if you look thru the postings where people are indicating problems with the software you might find one or two - their postings usually have a white background which makes them stand out.
