how turn off program manager to install 10.1.4 reader?

Aug 19, 2012 9:42 AM

When I try to install Adobe Reader 10.1.4, it says it will change files being used by a running file entitled Program Manager and to turn it off, but I don't know how to turn off Program Manager or even how to find it.  Can you please help?

Thanks, Dannyo1

What is your operating system & version?

Can you post a screenshot of that message; I have never seen anything like that before.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Program_Manager

Occasionally this program "locks" AcroRd32.dll module.

This modul is checked by the Reader installation - if found in use, installation cannot continue.
