Download problems

I try to download adobe reader and I have to redo the download at least three times to get the full download.  When it finally downloads I click install and it goes to 33% and remains there for a while, then shoots to 64% and says unable to contact reliable source.  Download failed.  Any suggestions on what I need to do?  Thanks.
