Is anyone having problems with these two file types appearing on your desktop while InDesign CS6 is open? Sometimes with multiple files open, my desktop is covered! They disappear when InDesign is closed, but is there a way to stop them from even appearing on my desktop? The files are DBSharingShield, DBTmp, and then a file with a name such as DBSharingShi2004491369389.
I don't recognize the DBSharingShield, but the others are ID recovery data files. Normally these woudl be in the InDesign Recovery Folder.
Did you move the location of the recovery folder in the prefs?
Have you tried to reset the prefs? See Replace Your Preferences
Peter,
You were spot on!!! Somewhere along the way, those items were being directed to my Desktop. I simply could not find the two files or the Recovery folder anywhere...so I just deleted my preferences and started again. And it worked.
Thanks so much for helping me get that "stuff" off my desktop!
