Why do I get a message that I need to download and run Application Manager every time I try to run Acrobat X after a reboot? Running Windows 7 64 bit. I then need to supply a serial number and then, because it's an upgrade, a serial number for my previous version.
Thanks very much for the reply and suggestion. Yesterday I decided that the only thing I had not tried was to uninstall the program and download and install a new copy from Adobe. Previously I had help from Adobe tech support and over the 3 times I tried to get the problem fixed, they took over my computer and did various things, assuring me that the problem was fixed. Well it wasn't but, uninstalling and downloading and installing the fresh copy has solved the problem. I feel stupid that I didn't try that first knowing how things can get corrupt. Anyway, the problem is now solved and I thank you very much for taking the time to suggest a solution.

Well, now I really feel stupid. The problem is back. Every time I reboot and then open Acrobat X Standard, the error message requiring me to run Application Manager appears. I have to enter the serial numbers both for Acrobat X and for my previous version, Acrobat 9. Can you amplify on your previous answer or suggest steps to follow to get rid of this problem?
