Flash Player quit when I updated it

I have been using Flash Player with Firefox on my pc with Windows 7. I worked fine till I downloaded the latest update/version. Now it won't work. I researched the site and it mentioned Real Player...I looked in my programs and I don't have Real Player...any help out there?
