Hello DPS users,
I am creating a publication where I need to create a link that leaves the app and opens up iTunes to a specific download page. How do I create a link that will ask users "are you sure you want to leave this page?" before opening up itunes?
Thanks!

Make sure to use itms:// as the URL prefix and it will send the user to the App or Music store. See the Hyperlinks section of DPS help for more information. http://help.adobe.com/en_US/digitalpubsuite/using/WS67cb9e293e2f1f60-8 ad81e812b10bfd837-8000.html

Hi Bob,
so there is no way to open an external app from within the custom storefront / library.
I tried nearly everything, without success:
a http://www.adobe.com - opens the url but with no option to close the window
a itms://itunes.apple.com/whatevertheapplinkis does simply nothing
any way to help me out ??
kind regards
Michael
Excuse me,
If you do a button with a link built with the Linkmaker web utility, if the user taps on the button, it opens a pop up asking the user if he wants to leave the page for another app and then takes him to the precise page of the precise download in the iTunes store.
Isn't that what Kristen and Michael want?
Just wondering
We are having the same problem with trying to integrate this into . We tried linking to the App Store, but it won't respond to the link.
For example:
http://itunes.com/apps/evernote/evernote
itms://itunes.com/apps/evernote/evernote
itms-apps://itunes.com/apps/evernote/evernote
None of these work, but if you use ANY other link it will work fine. Any ideas?
