What other Adobe software do you have installed? Have you tried removing it? Which operating system are you using?

I had photoshop 7 and yes uninstalled it... I have adobe reader.. and air
... Vista

Please try running the Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool - http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html and try the installation again.
