CS5.5 / Win: Indesign crashs during import of an rtf file

Hi

 

My plugin crashs during the import of an rtf file. The most rtf's work fine, but one is not OK. If I try to import it Indesign crash. Also if I try to place it manually in Indesign.

 

I think something is wrong in the rtf, but I can open it in Word.

 

Any ideas what to do?

Can I make a check in advace?

 

By the way: I can't save my RTF presets in Indesign. Any ideas why?

    Loose thoughts:

     

    Does it work without your plugin?

    If so, does it still work if you save, enable your plugin, then reload the INDD file?

    It doesn't work without my plugin. Indesign crashed also without it, if I placed the RTF manually.

     

    Meanwhile I found a sequence in my RTF who is the reason for the crash. I corrected this manually and after that I could import the RTF. It seems that is a problem of the RTF import filter.

    The uncorrected RTF was imported until Indesign CS3, after that it crashs (CS4, CS5, CS5.5).
