Saving (.ai) to (.idea) and importing it to Adobe Ideas as vector!

Aug 29, 2012 2:39 AM

It would be amazing if we can save Adobe Illustrator files (.ai) to Adobe Ideas (.idea) as well as importing back Ideas file from Desktop to iOs as vector in creative cloud.

I agree, being able to import vector graphics into Adobe Ideas would be very useful! Adobe should add .ideas as a format option when saving from Illustrator. I imagine that this would be tricky though because illustrator has many features that aren't supported in Ideas (text, gradient meshes etc.).

I recently scanned an ink drawing and tried to color it in Adobe Ideas but it was difficult. If I could have imported a vector version of it, it would have been a lot easier . If you're interested, the finished drawing can found here:

It still should be capable. Gradients are simpler than opacities.  If you convert text to outline, there shouldn't be a prob.

I think they could do it..
