Single Edition and Viewer Builder (how to launch the VB)

Hello

just bought (one hour ago) a licence for single edition.

so i got the email telling me
:
1: i gotta connect to https://digitalpublishing.acrobat.com
2: make sure i got the latest version from the viewer builder

 

and here's the problem: the "Viewer Builder" section is still grey, I got no access to it and then can't do the following

 

3: launch the viewer builder etc.
4: in viewer builder, chose etc.

 

can someone help me please ?
maybe i just have to wait longer

    Did you sign in using a Windows computer? The Viewer Builder app requires a Mac.

    ouch.
    no ... I logged in with a PC.
    If i login with a mac this will work ?

    Yes. It will prompt you to download and install it so make sure you have rights on the Mac to do so.

    this means we can only work on this (single edition) with a mac ?
    I mean, if i login to the account with a mac, will i have to stay on a mac (and this particular max) ?
    We only have one here, and the guy on it is pretty busy. Not mentionning all my .indd files and work for DPS are on my PC.

    No…that’s not what it means.

     

     

     

    You can do all the work on the Windows machine. In fact, the Mac doesn’t even need InDesign installed.

    Right, you can do all the folio creation work on your PC and just use the Mac to create the Apple certificates and build and submit the app.

    okay thanx again.
    PLease note that this tutorial may be confusing then because Mr Fleming does not specify it has to be a mac, and his computer does not look like a mac

    Another question regarding the publication progress, at 2'35'' Mr Fleming talks about "certificates that I've built": what is this ? HOw does it work ?

    For publishing to App store and to complete a build you need to create certificates using keychain access ann Apple provisioning Portal. If you already have an Apple iOS developer account you can go to Provisioning portal and check this out, for reference on how to build these certificates, download Publishing companion Guide from your DPS Dashboard.
