Color coverage in percentage?

Hey guys,

 

I am wondering if I can find out, how much a color covers a document in illustrator (vectorized document). Do you know a way? I need to now it in percentage. Is there any way or plugin, script etc. that can help me with this?

    Only way I done this before is to open your document in photoshop and set your info palette to total ink. I used this to find ink going over DMAX.

    will try this. Thout PS wouldn't be the right solution, but it seems to be the correct way.

    Not sure what you mean by "covers", but have you tried selecting the element and viewing the percentages in the Color palette?
