Does anyone have an experience with using Dreamweaver in tandem with a basic CDN? We just signed up to use a CDN for our static content and I am having a hard time coming up with a graceful way to still use Dreamweaver after this change.
I don't know the limitations of DW extensions, but if this could be possible, I would be will to go down that avenue as well.
Your CDN supplier should have a tutorial to make it work. Microsoft has got its own tutorial at this link:
Hope this helps.
I follow that tutorial, but I don't quite understand where Dreamweaver fits in. In the link you provided, all of the paths to the static content were derived from ASP code, which Dreamweaver won't understand enough to be much use.
Using a setup like the tutorial showed (which is the exact route I've taken btw), I won't be able to use Dreamweaver to manage images or any other static content. I can't click on the browser button in Dreamweaver and map to an image, I'll have to write out the path (or the code that looks up the path) by hand in code view every time.
