Stuck on "this type of mobileprovision file contains "*"

Anyone know their way around this part of the viewer builder process. I am getting a red error box around my submitted provisioning files that say:

App ID inside the mobileprovision file contains "this type of mobileprovision file contains "*" This type of mobileprovsion App ID is only applicable for enteprise signed builds. You will need to regenerate this file with a valid App ID.

We are submitting a single edition app. I don't recall anywhere in the process of generating the App ID that we have any control over this.

Thanks.

Did you possibly create a push mobileprovision file?

Remove if you have used "*"  anywhere in Bundle Seed ID (App ID Prefix) or Bundle Identifier (App ID Suffix) while creating app ID.

Also, Note: Do not use asterisks (*) or other special characters when creating your mobileprovision files.

Read page 17 and 18 of publishing companion guide on creating app ID and mobile provisioning.

The error is because the certificate generated from Apple developer portal is done from the *wildcard App ID(an App ID ending with *). Instead, you will need to re-create the certificates from a regular App ID as shown in the image below. *Wild card generated certificates are meant for Enterprise signed app only(Enterprise user feature) for internal distribution within organisation/company. Hope this clear the confusion :-)
