i'm at this stage in publishing my folio in single editionhttp://tv.adobe.com/watch/learn-digital-publishing-suite-single-editio n/digital-publishing-produce-content-to-prepare-to-publish-using-digit al-publishing-suite/
at 6'54'' to be precise"
when I click "publish" I only have "private", not public as choice
why ?
Do I have to go to VIewer Builder first and enter the licence serial number ? If yes; did so and anyway only got a blank page coming ....
For single user its only private because you will export the .zip from folio producer and submit to apple directly. App will be built in single and will be publish directly on apple server. Public/free is when you publish your content on adobe distribution server for multi folio app(only for pro and enterprise).
Yasin
Thanx Mohammed.
note to Adobe people, this i snot mentionned anywhere (well I guess it must be somewhere but not in the video tutorial or the tutorial herehttp://help.adobe.com/en_US/digitalpubsuite/using/WS9293e1fb3b977c5c-4 5da217112a48b41a34-8000.html
I don't wanna sound harsh but it looks like, of course, you spend your days on DPS and of course, know all about this.
I think many people like me are only one or two days on it every week, and for us believe me, it's a total mess to understand all this stuff, from the indesign soft itself, the plugins, versio,s the folio producer tool, the publishing. Every step is incredebly complicated.
Really.
Anyway, will try to achive this ....
Seb, download below app. It'll make the process easier for you:

Hey Seb,
I recommend reading the DPS Single Edition Overview which will also help you know more about the product : http://help.adobe.com/en_US/digitalpubsuite/using/WS67cb9e293e2f1f6032 817afa1337a03d59b-7fff.html.
Also regarding your error: go ahead and cloose publish requests in Folio Producer, it will show all you publish requests, then click on failed in front of the folio which failed to publish, please paste and translate the error message for us to check what might be the root cause of this
HIMANSHU : Yes i read your link before, but can't see where the problem is
Here is what i see in publish requests
"Une erreur s'est produite lors de la tentative de publication de votre folio.
L'un de vos articles ne correspond pas à l'orientation du folio. Les mises en forme des articles doivent correspondre à l'orientation du folio."
(ie: does not match folio's orientation)
What i have to find is WHERE do I check/verify my folio's orientation or CHANGE it.
Really can't see where this might be done, can someone help ?
Seb,
You'll need to use either Folio Builder Panel or Folio Producer to look at each article in your folio to see the orientation matches the one you set for your folio. Chances are the folio was created as "dual orientation" and you only added landscape or portrait articles. This is a pretty common problem due to how we default to "dual orientation" in the new folio dialog ![]()
If this is indeed the case you are in you'll need to create a new folio and make sure to select either the portrait or landscape button in the new folio dialog, and then re-add your articles.
Hope this helps,
Neil
alright I created a new folio with only horizontal orientation, importes my articles in it and it seems to work.
I got a little problem, though (i don't know if it's related to this and if it has to be said in this particulaar thread): one of my (grooviest) articles has a nice animtaon made in edge, it worked fine before both on iPad and on my PC content viewer. But now since new Air update, the animation does not work anymore on my PC viewer, and I really can't figure out why !
anyway, the main problem is solved thanx !!!!
