DW CS6: where are my Includes and attached files?

Aug 30, 2012 3:37 PM

In CS5, all my Includes and attached files (such as style.css) were listed and available right under the top menu bar.  Now they're all gone.  Is Adobe just doing that oh-so-entertaining thing they do every update where they turn off useful features, and then encourage you to try and guess where they've hidden them, or did they remove the ability to see linked files altogether?

    Nope, they're still there.

Check your Dreamweaver preferences (Edit menu on Windows, Dreamweaver menu on a Mac).

In the General category, make sure Enable Related Files is selected.

    *lol*

Have you double checked the root folder specified for this site in your Site Manager?

How have you built the page? You mention includes but yet you have a .html page - you would need a .php, .asp or .shtml page to have includes (unless you have set the server up otherwise which might not work with the desktop version). This would also raise the question of whether you have the css and javascript sheets in one of the includes. Do they appear on Live View?

The above doesn't explain the hard drive though unless the site has not been defined properly.

Right - the code on the page would reveal (or at least suggest) all of those things....
