Is there anyone to help? I have to get a script out and I can't get the script to the client in this unprofessional manner. I know it's hard to see in the image above, but the bolded text is "haven't seem them in" and "And now." I have confirmed that the issue is consistent in multiple apps on my personal machine, as well as those of friend's machine.
Any explanation for why certain text is bolded randomly? Thank you.
OK, I was wrong. Made some revisions and re-exported, and the BOLD is back!!! This is driving me bananas.
Anubhav, no, I have not tagged a single thing in the script. In fact, even if I try to create a Breakdown Report of Tags, it says it cannot complete task because there are no tags in the script.
I don't understand what is going on? This is costing me some serious clout with the client.
Any other ideas?
I will say, all of this is post-revision. A couple versions back, I had worked in Revision Mode, with locked pages. The problem began when I Stopped Revision mode and Unlocked the pages.
Though I will also say none of the bolded texts corresponds with the revisions that were made.
PLEASE HELP. I literally have client waiting on me, and cannot release the script with such an unprofessional glitch.
My script is trapped in Adobe Story. I am trying to think of work-arounds. My client does not have Adobe Story (wise on their part) so I can't export the astx file, I don't have Final Draft (starting to re-think that decision) so I can't export an fdx file, if I export a txt file the formatting gets screwed up, even when importing to MS Word.
Please let me know if there is some kind of other workaround, because otherwise... I am stuck. PLEASE HELP.
This gets ride of the bold BUT now it is printing all revision markups (prints the asterisk next to any recent revision, as well as prints at the bottome of every page the Revision number and Date).
Is there a way to disable it from printing the revisions? They are not showin in the project itself, and when I export the PDF from the export menu, the revision markings do not show up (but the Bold does).
HELP!!!!
OK, we have discovered a work around. ![]()
To get rid of this bizarre BOLD text glitch, I had to select all the text in my script, go to Production Menu > Clear Revision Mark. And viola, when I go to File > Export > PDF the PDF is Bold-text free.
I believe the bug occured somewhere after I did the revisions on my script. I had started a revision (with a custom revision I made), locked pages, made my revisions, then Stopped Revisions, saved a copy, then unlocked pages. Somewhere after that point, when I tried exporting PDFs, the Bold Text issue would occur. But as we have no discovered, if I go through the process above in this response (Clear Revision Mark) the issue is resolved.
I hope Adobe can address this extremely frustrating issue in the next version of Story. I'm glad they finally took the issue on with me personally and we resolved it together, however they will never be able to reverse the multiple frustrating hours lost, nor the grey hair I grew in the process.
CeltX, here I come. ![]()
