Serious issues with Dreamweaver CS5.5

I am having some problems that I cant figure out how to resolve. I am following tutorials by James Williamson on CSS layouts and currently studying CSS conflicts. Now I am learning a lit and also following the video. The problem is when I am writing the coding James Williamson uses it dosent work in my firefox. I havent tried on another computer yet but just say for conflicting styles i did paragragh colour red in the css sheet and then paragraph color blue in the html and it should have been shwoing blue since the para blue is the last style but it shows red. The hover links dont work either. It happened after I uninstalled and installed my Adobe Master Collection because the computer was running slow so I formatted everything

Look at my coding and look at the tutorial coding. I cant figure out what Im doing wrong :S

The blue html p code should overwrite the red css

Iv fixed it, the link to the css stylesheet should have been placed further up. I was using dreamweaver so it automatically placed it at the bottom. Didnt realise till saw the whole tutorial
