I'm wondering is there a way to import data from xml (or similar) file to indesign dps publication?
The final product has thousands of entrys and it would be really much more quicker if we'd sort different categories through xml before indesign
Thank you!
Hi,
I asked some time ago a very similar question in the inDesign Scripting forum but I've got no answer yet. However, I repeated that same question in a Linkedin group and they gave me a positive answer to that (Dorothy H was rather nice, btw).
For what we have seen in-house that's rather likely (Encofus-Switch + Adobe Scripting + A set of templates) but we're still in a preliminar trial stage (though I have discovered we use Switch for a lot of intenselly automated production tasks). If you are interested some people in that group seemed very helpful on the matter.
I hope this helps you

Do you want to automate the adding of InDesign articles to Folio Builder Panel? Or automate the actual creation of the InDesign documents?
If you are trying to automate the creation of the InDesign documents, what kind of of layout are you trying to do? What interactive elements are you trying to create?
Thanks!
