Sure. Use iTunes on your computer. File > Add to Library. Sync the files to your iPad or iPhone.

You can download the iPad or iPhone manual for free on the Apple website in the Support area. Ask further questions in the Apple support communities. This forum is for Adobe Reader, not iBook.
