I use Adobe Reader on my iPad to keep and refer to committee papers. I have folders for different committees and in each one I have th e various papers for a committee of a given date. The problem I have is that the documents in each committee date folder don't always display in the order that I will want to open them when I attend the committee. Since there are often many documents for each committee, it would be useful to be able to reorder the documents within each folder. Is there any way that can be one? If not, is this a feature that Adobe might consider adding in a future version?
The sorting we have is based on the file name, but we have considered options to sort by date last modified. This, however, could also result in a different order than you're seeking.
perhaps you could include the date in the name of the file in some way, so that the name oriented sorting would result in the ordering you are seeking?
Thanks for the response. As you say, I could just change all the file
names, though I was hoping for an easier solution. If I save in iBooks,
they stay in the order that I save them which is helpful. However, iBooks
is not as useful for marking up documents as the Adobe Reader. Hence my
preference for using Adobe Reader.
