iPhone Apps

Sep 5, 2012 4:48 AM

Finally just finished an iPhone version of a previously built iPad (single issue) app.

What's the best route to take, just create the iPhone version as another (multi-issue) app, or create a multi-issue app with both renditions.

Will Apple approve the multi-issue App if I try to do an update on the original single edition??

Any experience here on this?

Cheers

Alistair

You can create a viewer app for both the iPhone and iPad. Currently , iphone only viewers are not supported . Please select both ‘ ipad ‘ & ‘ iphone’ as the target device .

Apple requires the iphone Apps to work on ipads too which is not possible with a iphone only Viewer .

You can update your same app to Universal Build (Both iPad and iPhone) using Viewer Builder. Use renditions to publish content to both iPad and iPhone.

Apple may test your app on ipad & if app crashes on ipad .Then your app may be  rejected stating "Apps that crash will be rejected"
