Not sure what you mean here.

Do you want the file name index.html to not show in the URL? Something different?

    Ok.

That wouldn't be a Contribute issue. If your ISP  is set up to open the index file by default then the end user won't  actually have to type index.html at the end of the URL if that's what you are worried about.

For instance, instead of typing out http://valetingcars.com/index.html they just have to type http://valetingcars.com and it will take them to that page by default.

If your saying that you want to CHANGE that file name then you can simply open the file in publish mode and choose File>Actions>Publish as new page and choose whatever file name you want. Keep in mind that if you do not have an index.html file then the user WOULD have to type in the entire URL rather than just http://valetingcars.com

If this isn't the info you are looking for, you'll need to give me some clearer descritions of what you want.

    No.

Are you looking for an HTML sitemap (for users to view) or an XML sitemap (for search engines to crawl)?

If the former, you'll need to create one by hand. For the latter, there are many free tools that will crawl your site and create a sitemap.

Hmm. Not sure how they got there. Might they be something that has been there since the site was created? It obviously was created using something other than Contribute.

At any rate, using Contribute, I don't know any way to get rid of those particular meta tags. I would do it using Dreamweaver or even notepad.

Niether of the parameters for those tags are even correct. It looks like someone has done some keyword stuffing (incorrectly I might ad) which may possibly get you booted of the search engines. Also, just some unsolicited advice, you'll want to get rid of your keywords (format>keywords and description). It is keyword stuffed (against Google guidelines) plus the only reason the other search engines even pay attention to them is to use them as a spam marker.

As graffiti said through Contribute you can't delete the source code. You can achieve by selecting the Edit in external application option. Please refer to http://blogs.adobe.com/contribute/2010/05/edit_web_page_source_in_an_e xt.html
