PDF's appear blank to client

We are a design company using Illustrator and Acrobat for designing for a client.

 

We designed a flyer, saved it as PDF and sent to client as normal. However when they open it in Reader, all the get is a blank document. It does not always happen with this one client as we have sent other PDFs and they work fine. They have sent me the same document back to us and when we open it back up it is blank and we can't work out why!!

 

Any help would be much appreciated!

    You mean by email?  Email is not 100% safe; attachments can get damaged during the transmission.

     

    Can you compare the original document with the one that was sent back to you: is it exactly the same size?  Use a hex compare tool to compare the contents.

    That is not what I meant; you need to compary the file size in bytes.  You also need to compare the contents of the two version with a hex compare tool; only then you will know if the damage occurred during the email transfer.
