Adding crossfades

Sep 5, 2012 2:53 PM

Can anyone tell me how I add a crossfade in Audition? My habit is to group nat sound on one track and I typically add crossfades between them to smooth the sound. But while I can find the cross fade function in PremPro, I can't work out how to do this in Audition.

Thanks

Carolyn

If you are working in Multitrack view you just have to overlap the clips in order for them to automagically crossfade. This assumes that you have Automatically Crossfade Overlapping Clips enable in Preferences/Multitrack.

Automagic = anything good that software does by itself without human intervention.

Or, as Arthur C. Clarke said far more eloquently than I ever could, "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic".
