Quite frequently when I rotate an image with the rotate tool and then work on it, after a while photoshop crashes on me. This never used to happen on CS5.
My setup is iMac12.1, lion 10.7.4
Any suggestions?
Yea, I have restarted photoshop quite a few times but same problem. Now all the sudden when I have a selection and I use the lasso tool to either add or subtract from the selection it seems the tool freezes somehow (not sure how to explain because it is not photoshop as an application freezing). I have to click somewhere on the screen which deselects the selection. I have to hit cmd-z to get back my selection and this time the add or subtract with the lasso tool works fine....
I did a clean install of Mountain Lion and seems that Photoshop works much better and faster now.
So far it hasn't crashed on me yet when rotating the images and working on them. Lasso tool works without a problem too.
Before installing the new OS I also noticed that when I was dodging and burning inside a mask and I did small and repetitive strokes, the brush strokes would lag but now I don't witness that anymore either.
I can't say if installing Mountain Lion improved it or that I have left out installing certain apps I didn't want anymore or simply reinstalling photoshop. No idea but seems to work
Seems the problem didn't go away. After installing everything from scratch (lion) and only photoshop to exclude conflict with other application installed Photoshop still crashes when I use the rotate tool.
I tried it on another iMac but this time with the i7 processor and it does the same.
Any clues anyone?
Thanks
but it is still happening and on two different imacs. Only crashes when the image is in a rotated position and it doesn't crash right away and not all the time but quite frequently.
maybe not a lot of people work on rotated images...? it's quite a shame that I cannot use this feature since it is one of my favourite ones. In cs5 this di not happen
Hi,
I rotate the entire image with the rotate tool. I usual use the the pen or brush when I rotate the image.
The graphics card is the
AMD Radeon HD 6750M 512 MB I am not sure what type of card they use in the 27" imac model.
The ram shouldn't be an issue because they are different on both machines.
thx
It doesn't work - I cannot install the 13.0.4 update - I've tried to downlaod it manually from adobe website and I tried through Adobe application manager - the first said - update not applicable, the second - that all is up to date...
But nevertheless, I am working with 13.0.1, and so far no crash
