combining pdfs

Adobe keeps freezing on me when I ask to combine pfds. I select all the files, it goes through the optimizing process and pretty much finishes. then the application stop responding. I use a Mac if that matter. i also have the most recent version of adobe.

    What version of the OS are you running? Also, can you get a crash log?

    im running CS6 - Acrobat pro x - and the crash report i cant get because the application just keeps "not responding". how might i get a crash report for you?

    What command are you using the combine the PDFs (these are all PDFs, correct)? Are you using Mac Preview at all?

    What im doing is i tried exporting this word document into a pdf. it keeps spliting into 3 pdfs (i think because there is an advanced page section break or something). So i open Acrobat and choose the option 'combine pdfs' and then try it and it does and then freezes! I get the Apple SWOD (swirly wheel of death).

    Do you have any problems opening all three files in Acrobat and then combining them in the Pages Navigation Pane? I'm just trying to determine if this is an issue with the Combine dialog or perhaps your PDF.

    i get the SWOD when i try to combine the documents in the pages navigation pane too.

    if it helps, it was one docx document that keeps printing to three pdf's. the microsoft forums say its a fault in the program.

    Have you tried running the Save As command in Acrobat before Exporting the PDF?
