In CS6, Double-Clicking Search Results Does Not Always Jump to the Result

Running on Mac 10.7.4. I will use Find All, and then double-click on the results in the Search panel, expecting to be taken to that specific occurence, and nothing will happen. Sometimes it does work, but very rarely. When it doesn’t work, restarting Dreamweaver doesn’t seem to have any effect on it.

    I can honestly say I've never experienced this with CS6 on Windows in Coder Plus workspace.

    Does this happen in all pages/sites?  Which workspace are you using?

    Designer Workspace. I just tried it on 3 separate sites, and on 1 of them it did work, but not the other 2…

    Hmmmm....  I'm curious why it works on one site but not the others.

     

    Although not what you describe, Find & Replace had a bug initially which was fixed in the 12.0.1 update.   Do you have the update?

    Just tried it again on an .htaccess file in a site that apparently didn’t work, and it did. So it may have something to do with file types. Works on text files but not HTML or CSS?

    I am having the same problem in the Coder Workspace. Sometimes it works fine on all files. Today it decided to stop working on a php file, but works on a css file. Restarted DW, but did not resolve.

    F&R (Ctrl+F)

    • Find in: Current Document (a php file)
    • Search: Source code
    • Find: "your target text/code, etc..."
    • Hit Find All button

     

    Clicking on results works for me in DW CS6, ver 12.1, build 5949 on Win.

     

    Which version & OS are you using?

    What steps are you using?

    Those are the same steps I take. I am DW6 v12.0, build 5808. Mac OS 10.8.2

    hmm, maybe the program is corrupted. it has happened to me before, and while I reinstalled the program it did not stop with that. was very difficult to put the site [link removed] in the air because of it, but in the end everything went well.
