IPAD cant find mailto address

I am creating a fluid website with dreamweaver. I have reached the point where I am adding links. I have two mailto links added and they work great on my pc and my apple IPOD. They cant find the mailto location on my IPAD. I am using the same location. Any clues? ipad is up to date.

Site is temporaily locates at      www.usersite.com/fluid    Go there click on contact for contact page and hover over email addresses. There is a large map.

    Why use mailto: links at all?

     

    They're outdated and rely on an email client being installed locally e.g. Outlook, which many don't have.

     

    Many people use web based email e.g. Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook.com (formerly Hotmail). Mailto: links don't work for them.

     

    Much better to use a spam-protected contact form on the page.

    Where do I get this span protected contact form?

    I do use web based email I use yahoo.  Also my Ipad is the latest model and latest operating system. IPOD same apple product works super.   zuddy

    Write your own or use one of the many pre-packaged scripts out there: some free, some paid-for.

    I do but that is a good clue.

    It is 11:08 and I am getting to tired to think straight.

    zuddy is back.

    Went through my IPAD throughly. Settings, Icloud, Accounts,Safari. I did not really have a plan but when I got through the mailto was working. It is working now.
