Hi... We are about to dive into cutting our film using some of the new tools in creative cloud and I had a few questions.
Is there live syncing? Basically is it possible to have any changes that I make at Edit House 1 update live at Edit House 2 within their premiere project file. Or do they have to manual download the new project file from the cloud at Edit House 2 if I want the changes for Edit House 1?
How dose this work in the cloud with emeded AfterEffect projects? Is there smart syncing? Say I take a shot to After Effects to paint out a boom really quick then dose Creative Cloud know to upload that new AE project file and sync it with the other shard people that are using that same premiere timeline? Or do I have to manually uploaded and then they have to manually download it and place it in the right folders?
What is the best way to use creative cloud for this? Should I have my own account and share project files with the director? Or should he sign in using my account? We just want the best security and best syncing...
Thanks for any info...
There is no file syncing yet with the Creative Cloud. This is not built into any of the desktop applications, and Creative Cloud Connection which will do syncing is not available yet.
In terms of sharing a file it can be made Public, but you cannot give write access to another user. (And currently there is no file versioning).
Creative Cloud Connection will be released. I know there is customer frustration around this since in May we said "coming soon." All I can say is that it is coming.
Improved sharing is in the plan. A blog post here discusses it http://blogs.adobe.com/creativecloud/coming-soon-to-creative-cloud/.
