Folio Builder Cant Sign In: Phantom Update Required

Hi all -

 

I am using ID CS6 and have often succesfully used Folio Builder and DPS... Out of nowhere I am getting the error:

 

A software update is required to use Digital Publishing Suite. Please go to the Help menu and select Updates to get the required software.

 

However, when I attempt to update I am getting a message that my ID instalation does not require an update... An unedning loop and I need to demo soon for my company to make a buy decision to expand its use of ID and ultimately DPS... Help

    Trash your preferences.

    I trashed my preferences... Still same issue... Thank you for your response, I will go over to DPS but would apprciate any more thoughts you may have in this...

    Clearly you are the man with answers on the forums and I greatly appreciate your response... Unfortunately, trashing my preferences did not work... I would greatly appreciate any other suggestions you might have -

    I can tell you it happened to me yesterday and trashing my prefs did work.

     

     

     

    Are you on Windows or Mac?

    Try deleting the contents of your *appdata*\StageManager.BD092818F67280F4B42B04877600987F0111B594.1\Loc al Store\dmp folder. Be warned: this will delete any local folios you may have created, so you'll have to re-create those folios.

     

    Am not convinced this will help, but it might. Please let me know either way. Thanks!

    Thanks Neil Though this did not work as I could not fid the directory... I am going to try a total re-install...

    Sigh, I put * instead of %. Try %appdata%\StageManager.BD092818F67280F4B42B04877600987F0111B594.1\Loc al Store\dmp.

    Not to worry... As it happens, I ended up re-installing from scratch and it worked out... I appreciate everyone's help. -MMS
